At last..

I finally got to do my own laundry at the comfort of being at home. Actually the machine arrives on Monday. There were some problem with the models. It was the one we initially requested. After few calls to the 'tokey' and Electrolux customer service, we agreed to take both. And paid the extra RM40. So the washer is now EWF860 and dryer EDV606E. Apparently they both have the same function as the previous model we chose. Just a different in model code. Except for the washer which has added few functions.

Oh yes.. I've been given this award by CT.

Exhausting weekend

The trip to Melaka was not exactly a blast. The location of hotel was perfect. However the condition was not. It's kinda too good to be true kind of hotel. M****A Hotel was located right in the town. A walking distant to Bandar Hilir. Eye of Melaka, Rivercruise, A Famosa, etc.. But the condition of the room waas so dissapointing. Yes, they provide mini fridge, LIMITED coffee and tea facility (by LIMITED it means 1 3-in1 sachet of instant coffee is provided free, additional is charged), clean room and surprisingly okay bathroom. Anyway, with a whopping price of RM160 a night, I'm expecting a good breakfast buffet the next morning. The buffet was terrible. Nasi lemak, fried mee, baked beans, chicken sausages, fried egg, porridge, and toast. And they serve the kordial juice in a plastic jugs!!!! If I can list the buffet menu in 2 lines, that's just plain horrible. There's no milk, and obviously no cereals. Even the tea was weak. I mean seriously, they were too dang stingy to drop a couple of tea bags in the pot.
Apart from the hotel disaster, we has a blast spending most of our time trying to get walk through the town and survive the traffic. We took the Melaka rivercruise. It was a so-so experience. Imran was excited at first, then he got bored. Can't wait to jump out of the boat. and Hani was jelous of him because he get to sits besides me. Haha.. seriously, she is jelous every single time I gave Imran a little bit more attention tha required. Then we had our late lunch at a seafood restaurant and had the most spicy fried kuey-tiaw I have ever eaten since I got married. I'm a chili eater but nowadays I've mellowed down on the hot and spicy food. I'm not going back to that place.
After walking for another couple of hours, we decided to find Mahkota Parade. Hubby was convinced we were getting closer to it. I was not. But my sense of direction is not to be trusted at any time or place. So we walked back to the hotel, thinking of driving, when Hubby went and asked to reception guys about the direction. And guess what, we were seriuosly close that it was such a waste of walking back to hotel itself. And after quite a delibetaion, we decided to go for it. We walked to Mahkota Parade. At that moment I knew I'm going to have blisters on my toes. I was walking in 2-inch sandals for hours.
Stayed at the mall until closing time in Anakku boutique to get a new stoller. Imran's buggy finally has given up hope of surviving another brutal adventure. I wanted another buggy, but Hubby insisted on a stroller. It's easier for me to travel with the kids using a buggy. It's lighter and easier to fold. A stroller is heavy and definitely bulky even when it's folded. Since Hubby's paying for it, I'll just let him choose which one he prefers. I just hope the buggy can still be fixed. I need to use that when I go to the park.
All these happens on Saturday. I have excluded the wedding part though. Not that interesting anyway. Heheh...
On Sunday, we went to Nilai!!!! Hahah.. It's the parents time. By this time I was already wearing my RM3.90 thongs bought in Tesco. Did not do any help at all. Spent quite a lot there. After exploring all the shops, we ended up paying for 3 different size rugs and 2 bamboo mats. Wanted to get a console table but none was good enough. Or contemporary enough. Hehehe..
I was actually hoping to get a large japanese-like table for the kids. Obviously I'm looking at the wrong place. I just hope I'll find it soon. And small kabinets for the play area. Guess we're off for another IKEA trip.

These few days...

Has put me in a very unhappy mood. I'm afraid I'm not busy doing laundry. Because I'm still waiting for my machines to arrive!!! I am so dang frustrated right now. We went to the shop because there's a problem getting the model we have originally booked. It's being replaced by a Thailand version of EWF861. Model code EWF860 with additional functions. And of course additional price. For addition of 2 functions, its RM40 more to pay. I thought since Hubby has agreed to take it, we'll be getting them soon. Hubby gave to 'Tokey' a call and told him to send on Monday cause we'll be in Melaka for the weekend.
Due to my frustration, on thursday I took Imran and Hani for a shopping spree to Jusco Bukit Tinggi. We walked to the mall. Hahaha... Arrived there around 2 pm. Stayed until 9 pm. Can you imagine seeing a mother of two hanging around in the shopping mall? There was this one moment where a very nice lady told me there is a baby room where I can rest. You see, I was carrying sleeping Hani while pushing the buggy with sleeping Imran. I wanted to have a rest but the room is not exactly comfortable for Hani to lie down. She woke up the moment I rest her on the sofa. I can't sleep during the day or I'll end up with terrible headache. Hubby joined us after work and we went back aafter dinner at Kenny Rogers. I spent around RM250 for Imran's new shirt, Hani's new jeans, babies and toddlers socks and new par of sandals for me. Oh yes, bedsheet sets for wedding present. And I end up with sore hands due to extensive buggy-pushing, sore arms for carrying Hani and my whole body was aching due to all the shopping exercises.
Yesterday (Friday), Hubby sent his Laurel to the workshop in Rawang. So I had to drive Hilux to fetch him at work. He called and told me we're going to KLCC after work to see the exhibition held there. Unfortunately it ended at 8 pm. KLCC cancelled. Instead we went to Midvalley. A trip to Toys'R'Us has made us RM400 poorer. Hubby had to make sure Imran did not catch me paying for the game V.SMILE console. Yeay!! Now what do I get for Hani??
We're going to Melaka for Hubby's colleague's wedding. Hopefully we can get a hotel with swimming pool.

Finally

I'll be getting my washer and dryer in 2 days!!!
Hubby's paying the balance today. By thursday, Insya Allah, I'll be able to do my clear my laundry. Can't wait...
We got a very good price with a small electrical shop here in Bkt Tinggi, Klang. I'm not sure what's the name though. Electrolux washer EFW861 for RM1650 and dryer EDE606A for RM1590. Plus stacking kit for RM150. All in all, this was the best Hubby could get. Especially since he has been buying small appliance with the guy. Didn't actually expect that he has Electrolux machine in his shop. It is a very small electrical shop. No fancy decor. I dont see any air conditioning system either. Hehe.. So there, anyone interested to get electrical appliances are most welcome to Klang. Transportation for big appliances is provided with RM100 charge. Hubby's idea of a little sarcasm.

Look Ibu! No teeth...

Hani is turning one in 2 weeks. She's a little slow in certain area compared to her not-that-kinda-hyper brother. Obsessed with the mission of following her brother everywhere. And I mean everywhere, toilet break included. She definitely does not like the being left out on anything.
Hani has a few friends her age. But, she's way behind the others in some department. Especially the teeth part. You see, Imran got his first tooth when he's around 10 months old. Hani is already close to 12 months and yet, not a single tooth is there. I though she was having high fever due to the gum's swelling. Boy was I wrong. She can climb stairs, but still refuse to walk. 'Tatih' kata org Melayu. I'm not worried though... she can outrun her brother by simply crawling between his legs. Hahaha.. Oh you two really drives me nuts!
Anyway, she's also, just like Imran, so into computers and gadgets. Oh yes... tools! Having Handy Hubby has given these two very interesting choice of toys to play with. They refuse the plastics. Imran can still compromise. He has learn to listen and follow authority. Hani however.. well, just loves being herself. Demanding princess.

Puzzles Obsession

Ever since we've moved the computer upstairs, I've been trying to get Imran involved with other activities. Current obsession, puzzles. Jigsaw puzzle. Somehow he can sit still doing puzzles. Hubby bought Disney-Pixar Cars 48x3 puzzle from London for him. He also got another 2 sets of 48 pieces puzzle of Looney Toons and Winnie the Pooh. Not forgetting the Noddy jigsaw puzzle book. He can do the puzlles quite well without any help. I'm still amazed of his total attention he puts into finishing the puzzle. You see, this is a boy that could never sit still.(even in his sleep he'll kept tossing). He's always and I really mean always up to something. So to see him being able to sit still and kept his lips close for a moment was bliss. Families have been giving me comments regarding Imran's lack of attention span. They kept saying he's hyper-active. I don't believe my son is hyper-active. Then again, which mom would admit to that. Unless of course the diagnose comes from very legit source. Hehehe... But seriously, do you think a hyperactive child could sit still for more than half an hour to do puzzles?? Don't think so. He's just found something he loves to do. He can get bored very easy. Glad I have puzzles to keep him company. Dealing with the aftermath mess is just another.. well.. at least my son is happy. Can't say the same for Hani though. Imran now knows not to do puzzles when Hani's around. Hahaha...

Washer dilemma

Unfortunately after looking around for best price, it was not possible to get a cheap price for the washer. It's a wee bit pricey around RM2300 for a 7kg washer. Come to think of it, I don't really need 7 kg washer. However the spin speed was a very good factor. So I better get a good deal without getting into financial trouble. There's another option. Lower spin speed, no time display, etc.. Since the dryer is for 6kg, maybe I should just get the 6kg washer. Either way I still end up doing laundry every 2 days. Or maybe everyday. Haha.. I do have lots of laundry to do.
My family can pile up a 10kg to 15 kg laundry within 3 days. Do the maths right and I just got a new best friend. Used to be a laundry lady by profession, now a responsibility. I do not want to end up doing 4 cycles of laundry in a day. Whites... Dark colors... Delicates... What have got myself into?
