The Secret life of a Slummy Mummy

Product Description
For Lucy Sweeney, motherhood isn't all astanga yoga and Cath Kidston prints. It has been years since the dirty washing pile was less than a metre high, months since Lucy remembered to have sex with her husband, and a week since she last did the school run wearing pyjamas.
When Husband on a Short Fuse is no contest for the distractions of Sexy Domesticated Dad; Yummy Mummy No 1 has more cash flow than parenting advice; and Alpha Mum is putting a slur on your questionable domestic habits, it's hard to remember exactly why anyone would give up a career and their sanity for three raucous sons and less than blissful domesticity.
Lucy is living in a state of permanent emergency and the white lies to cover up the trail of chaos and illicit desire are about to be exposed ...
An irresistible first novel about the dilemmas of motherhood and modern marriage for those who never discovered their domestic goddess within.

Hubby brought home this book for me from London. We had an interesting disagreement about fictions books. Apparently he's not into them. According to him it's not a very smart investment buying books which you buy for the fun of reading a story. He believes there should be a worthwhile lesson which can only come from motivational and self-help books. Heheh.. I couldn't agree more. But hey! I need a cheap getaway. And books are the best!!! So after a very short arguement, he let it go. And came back with this book. Who says happy couples never argue. It's just a matter of how you wisely handle the disagreement. Hah!

p/s: I did learn something from this book though. Never ever ever share your fantasy with friends... HAHAHAHAH!!!!

Walk-in closet

Thank you for the prayers... Hani and Imran has gotten better. I am now dealing with heavy cough. Phlegm problems. The massage idea sounds so good but it's not easy with Hani clinging to me 24/7. She's still having trouble to cling to Hubby. Can't blame her though, she rarely sees Hubby. I do feel sorry for Hubby too. It's not the best option to leave your family. But we do what we have to do to get by. Right?
Hubby has finally booked for a walk-in closet for our room. I have always dreamed of having a walk-in closet. Especially watching Oprah's. Yeah I know... a housewife can still dream... huhuhu... Next Monday the measure-man going to come to get the exact measurement and within 14 days days... I getting a fully functional closet!!! No more hanging clothes on the door knobs!!! Yeah baby!!!
Thanks to Hubby's excellent handy work, our closet wall is silverish-gray colored (I'll check the exact color code later. I think it's called Pebblestone). We both wanted kinda a dark colored but not too dark. I'll try to upload the completed work once it's done. As of now, most of our clothes are still in boxes. We have been doing laundry 3 times a week. Used to be twice a week. With each loads can come up to 15 kg a pile. Hahaha! Can you imagine how hard our washing machine works?

Uneventful week.

When Hubby was still in London, he asked me to make plans for a family vacation. Unfortunately, due to unavoidable reasons... the plans went up in smoke. Haha...
Hubby's jet lag took him about 2 days to recuperate. Then followed by Imran having running nose and Hani with high fever again. Then, it was my turn to get really sick with fever and cold. Dang! I'm still not feeling quite well today. Though Hani's fever has gone down and she got back her usual temper. Imran still got his cold.
Does anyone knows how to get rid of backache. I've been having this ache especially around my waist. It's kinda like the ache when you're pregnant. No, I'm not preggy!

We'll just wait and see Sweetheart...

Hubby's planning something. Something that would have a huge impact on our life. I wonder if I can help him make the right one without hurting his feeling. It's a matter of whether it's the right thing to do or not when we have sacrificed a lot.
Whatever you decide sweetheart, I'm here to support you. No matter what.
See you in 2 days!!!
God.. you have no idea how much I've missed you.
