Exhausting weeks....Heh!

Hubby's prepapring for another trip to London. 7 weeks this time. Well, it could be longer. Huhuhu!
Last Saturday we had a family gathering for a small house warming session. Solat jemaah for Zuhur followed by doa selamat. I thought I'd be doing the preparation. But when Hubby, Imran and Hani had high fever. My task was to get the house ready. Hahaha!!! By Saturday morning, all I did was vacuuming and mopping the ground floor. The rest of the house? Fortunetaly Hubby got better. He did everything else. Including clearing up the porch. Muahs for you sweetheart!!!
After the gruelling preparation for the house warming, now it's time for Hubby to prepare for his trip. His flight is on Saturday night. I'm not exactly thrilled to be left alone with the kids again. But this time it's just me and the kids. Some relatives do not agree with the idea. I understand of course. It's not exactly a good idea for me to be alone with Imran and Hani. Then again, I'm not so keen of going back to in-laws house.
However, the incident tonight might change my mind. You see, I'm still blogging at their place. Reason being, NO STREAMYX. Hihihi! There was a total black-out at my area. The whole residential area was dark. Hubby's still at work. So I called MIL to come and get us. I am not spending the night with my kids in a dark house. Heat was definitely an important factor. While waiting, Hani woke up and screaming because of the heat. Imran was a brave little brother. Not only he was calm, but tried to calm Hani too. I wanted to feel proud, unfortunately the heat was getting to me too.
Hubby's back. Wonder if the electricity has returned? I asked him to check on his way back. But tonite we'll having a sleep-over.
Nite everyone!!!

Dark-skinned - HITAM??

One not-so-lovely-day at a convinient store.

While Mother struggling to load the diaper bags and milk on the counter,
Cashier: Lahai, apsal baby akak hitam? (Why is your baby dark')
Mother: *Eyes wide open* HUH??!!!!
Cashier: Baby org Melayu kan selalunyer putih. Anak akak ni hitam. Tgk, perut dia pun hitam. (Malay's baby usually fair. Your baby is dark. See, even the tummy is dark-skinned.)
Mother: *Trying so hard not to give this young lady a good smack on the head* Takpe, hitam pun cantik. (It's alright. Dark is pretty, too.
Cashier: A'ah, dia hitam tapi cantik. Manis. (Yep, she's dark but pretty. Sweet face.)
Mother: *Gave a lame smile and walked out.

DIA KATA ANAK AKU HITAM!!!!!!?????? (SHE SAID MY BABY IS BLACK)
The baby happens to be Hani. Yes, she a little bit darker compared to Imran. But I don't think she's dark-skinned or worse... black. Not that black is not pretty. It's just the way the cashier's use of the word HITAM meant to be a curse or something alike. If she said, 'Anak akak hitam tapi manis.' (' Your baby is dark but have a sweet face.) Then I would definitely won't be so pissed off.

That's my story. The end.

Imran in action.

These were taken the day we went to visit new mummy in banting. Stopped in one of Taman Botanic, Klang park. Imran had a blast!

Ready, Hani... Smile!

Hubby has been keeping these photos in his iphone. Finally got it. Can't remember when exactly these were taken. Please ignore the 'sepah'ness of our bed. Huhuhu!

No Astro. No Streamyx.

I am at in-laws place. Why? No Astro. No Streamyx. Can't believe how dull life is without these modern entertainment. Having to watch The Tigger Movie for the 100th time can really drive me crazy. No worries, I still can't pronouns the super-duper bounce let alone spell it. HAHAHA!
Anyway, Hubby told me Astro people called him at 10 pm. Can you believe this? Calling customer at night to set the installation appointment. Don't really know whether to be impressive or .... Well, appointment set at 3.30 pm. Kinda thinking of asking for MIL to accompany me. Hubby said there's going be some drilling work. I'll just just ask anyway.
About the streamyx, Hubby's been trying to get internet connection for days. The response, they're having trouble with port availability. Seems that they have run out of them. Hahaha!! I'm not so much affected by the no-internet situation. But I am bored without our oh-so-beloved computer. You see, I don't browse that much. Most of the time I got myself hooked into the addictive arcade games I have downloaded from Yahoo!. No, I did not purchase the games. Yes, I kept playing the 5 minutes limit with the free trials. Kinda pathetic. I know. Please don't be harsh. Huhuh!
Enough about me.
Let's see, Imran is adapting quite well with the new house adjustment. I'm not surprise he has not been throwing tantrums. Seems to me he knows exactly who's the boss. Huhuhu! Unfortunately, I'm still trying to figure out how to potty-train him. My friend, Lenny has given a very good advice. I have yet to try that. I did try not putting the diaper to see if he's going to tell me when he wet himself. Apparently he did not. Cause I found unidentified liquid on the floor and his pants soaking wet. This was after he came to me for a glass of water. MIL told it's okay. He'll get the idea of how uncomfortable wearing wet pants. Just have to be patience though. Cuz there's no knowing on how long it would take for him to discover that. Huhuh...
Hani. She's recovering from her long due viral fever. Rashes came out on the last few days. No measles. Syukur Alhamdulillah... But Dr. K , our paed informed us that we need to get her measles shot when she turns 10 months. Now I have to check if Imran has had his or not. Well, 2 more months to go. Other than that, she just love to be Hani. Being so close to me has paid it's price. I can't even go to the kitchem to get glass of water without her screaming and crawling. Due to Hubby's shift, I can only take my evening shower after she has gone to sleep. Around 10.30 pm. She only sleeps at night. Nap time is seriously short. Average of 10 to 30 mins. I would be very lucky if she can take her day-nap for more than 15 mins. Guess this is part of the separation anxiety phase.
It's 4 o'clock in the morning... Gotta go.

We're Moving!!!

As of now my 2 angels are fast asleep on our mattress. Yep! That's right. The bed has already been disassembled and sent to our house with the rest of our stuffs. Not that we have lots. Heh!
Anyway, I can't wait to begin my duty as the lady of the manor. Hahaha! Seriously, those who have stayed with parents let it be their own or in-laws, you would surely understand. Your authority comes next to them. And of Hubby. So now you are second in command. Sort of. So what's my first move? Shopping for groceries, household items and kitchen appliances and utensils. It has been quite a while since I cook a complete meal. Years to be exact. I have these quirky attitude of unable to adapt to someone else's territory. 4 years I've lived with in-laws. I can count with my fingers of how many times I cook. Worse case, I don't even know where she stores her herbs and spices. Tells a lot about me huh.. heheh.. I know I know... I am ashamed of myself.
FYI, we have yet to install our landline telephone, Astro, Streamyx and what else..? Let's see, Oh yes! We have not bought any TV yet. Haha.. Imran happily let us borrowed his 14" tv for the moment. No Astro? No problem. Imran will entertain the whole family with his cd collections. His favorite? Mickey, Donald & Goofy - The Three Musketeers.

Another visit to PMC Klang

Hani's down with fever again. No runny nose, no coughing and no other sign except for the high temperature. It happened 2 nights ago. FYI, no matter how many glances you take or how long you stare, you will not be able to tell that she's having a body temperature of 38 degree's (in Celsius), being a very observant and active baby. So today we brought her to see our official paed, Dr. K. One blood test and one urine test done. Urine - clear. Blood - not so good, but not so bad. Dr. K said to continue giving PCM of 2.5ml 4 hourly. And this viral infections fever usually takes about a week to clear. Huwaaaa!! I have to attend to a sick baby for a week?!! I'm not complaining about taking of Hani. But having a sick baby is never easy. Come to think of it.. since when does being sick is easy. Huhuhu!!! To make things worse, she totally lost her mood after being tortured for blood test. So, now I have to deal with a toddler tantrums AND a sick baby. Hubby..? He went straight to work once we settled ourselves at my in-laws place. Hey! Someone still has to go to work. Hihihi...
I need help to choose an electric oven. Just a small one for personal baking purposes. And roasting too. MIL using EO-3586 ELBA. Seems good enough for me. But MIL advised me to look oven with less functions. Cuz the on she's having is not being fully utilised. Any recommendations?

Home Sweet Home...

As stated in previous post, we've (actually Hubby) been busy preparing our new house. Hubby installed lightings, fans and aircond himself, being a very good handyman he is. Me? having excused myself with having to handle Imran and Hani, got away with loads of task. Including cleaning up the house. Hah! or so I thought. Hubby told me he left the toilets and windows for me to clean. Well, lucky me!
Here's the front view of our new house. Photo courtesy of http://www.wctland.com.my/

Have you ever...??

I was browsing my files and came across this poem. No, I did not write it. When I was an undergraduate, I like to browse for interesting poem to read. This one caught my eyes. Author however was Anonymous. I can't seem to remember what went through my mind when I was saving this poem. Don't think I want to remember anyway. My life right now is too dang precious to be wasted with questions like these. Actually too dang busy handling toddler's tantrum and baby's separation anxiety. Huhuhu!!!
Have you ever felt alone in life,
Felt no-one cared for you?
Or been out with group of friends,
And felt alone then too?
Have you ever had a broken heart,
You felt couldn't be repaired?
Or to touch somebody with your words,
But knew nobody cared?
Have you ever needed good advice,
But were too afraid to call?
Or felt separated from the world,
Surrounded by a brick wall?
Have you ever been asked about your future,
And said you couldn't care less?
Have you ever felt so confused,
That you couldn't even cry?
Have you ever felt so damn depressed,
Have you ever wished to die?

April Fools Day.....

Unfortunately my day did not have anything to with pranks or anything related to the said occasion.
Hubby's back... made himself busy with preparing our house. We're planning to move in before he goes back to London. Finally (and financially.. heh!), we decided to postpone the renovation. Kitchen is not extended, gate is not replaced with auto-gate, plaster ceiling (I wasn't even keen in one anyway) and built-in closet had to be postponed to another date. The task of finding lights was forever a difficult decision to make. However I put my trust with Hubby when it comes to interior decor. He's good. Not all the time.. but definitely better then some I knew. Huhuhu! Right now we only have limited furniture. We only have those that we need, which includes beds, TV cabinet, dining table, a seriously-simple-couch and drawers. One reason why we do not own a sofa set... Hubby and I can never decide on what type of sofa we want. One very important criteria we both agreed, it has to be comfortable for taking a nap.
As for Imran and Hani, Imran is so-the-very excited about the new house. I don't think he realized that Atuk and Nenek is not moving in with us. I don't even think he's aware of we're going to move out of Nenek's house. Here with Nenek, he has some kind of a refugee's place to go every time I scolded him. Can't wait to see how he'll react when he found out he'll be losing this privilege soon. Hani..?? Completely clueless!!!
