Cooking during Ramadhan??

I've bought four books to help me dealing with what-to-cook-for-dinner dilemma. And it just hit me that I have to cook two complete meal for 'buka puasa' and 'sahur'. Haiyak!!! All these years I have my dad and my FIL buying food from Ramadhan Bazaar. This year it should be Hubby's turn. Unfortunately with his work travel as well as shift, there's no time at all for that.
The usual event during Ramadhan was my mom would be on one-month break from cooking. Because my dad will be on his mission of buying any exotic meal he could find at the bazaar. Back in my hometown, the bazaar was a food heaven. And the microwave was our BFF(still our true BFF). So there was no need for my mom to cook. Except for rice. Hehehe...
When I was still living with my in-laws. I definitely did not do any cooking. I was plain lazy. Hahaha.. Not really. Even she doesn't cook unless she feels like it. It was my turn to see my Hubby's dad go on his food hunting. Huhuhu.. It's not so bad here but the menu is quite repetitive after one week. But still all right. Heheh..
UNFORTUNATELY for me, all this food hunting at the bazaar did not go down to Hubby. He would rather have a simple meal rather than going through all those decision making and the human traffic. Once I asked him to buy fried kuey-tiaw, he actually asked me where should he go to get that? Arrgghhh!! He was already making up excuse what if he couldn't find it? What's my next choice. My answer was... nevermind. I can understand his unwillingness to go through all the hassle and haggle of deciding what to eat, how much should be bought and which meal is for 'buka' and which for 'sahur' and so on. Well, guess what I'll be doing for the next 30 days? Making a one-week menu plan with deadline every Saturday. Grocery shopping every Sunday. I just pray that Hubby will never interrupt with my grocery shopping plan. Hahaha...

Independence and Ramadhan

To all,

Happy 51st Independence Day and

To all Muslims reading this,

Happy Ramadhan and may Allah blessed us all during this sacred month.

Body exhaustion

Woke up today with a sore back. Last night, I was feeling nauseated all through the night. Even threw up most of my dinner. And did not have the appetite to replace it. I don't remember going to bed feeling hungry so I thought everything was okay.
I felt so weak today. There was no energy to even play with Hani and Imran. I was trying yo clear dirty dishes, but I can't even stand for longer than 5 minutes without the pain. My back, my waist, I just couldn't stand the pain. Guess my body is telling me to relax and take the day off. Hahaha.. As if! The worse part, I was shivering in hot midday! I felt cold all over. Wanted to get a jacket but was too tired to get up the stairs. Once the usual dosage of Wonderpets and Blue's Clues completed, I rushed everyone. Me, Imran and Hani straight to bed. Slept for a couple of hours.
Informed Hubby, I won't be cooking dinner and reminded him about the clinic. Went downstairs and ends up cooking fried rice. Hehe.. Even with back pain and throbbing headache I can still cook. That's what it takes to be a mother. You need to feed your children no matter how sick you are. By the time Hubby arrived home, I was exhausted, yet again. I just thought a good rest will be enough. So doctor's visit canceled. Instead, I just lay down for the rest of the night.
Wonder what will happen if I get a complete heatlh breakdown? Dear God! What am I saying??!! I should be thankful it's just the usual exhaustion. Alhamdulillah... I'm still alive, ain't I?

Picky eater..??

I have been having trouble to get Imran to eat. I've tried pies, lasagna, spaghetti, and loads of child pleaser food. Nothing works. I really want to test my culinary skills. But I've been blessed with easy-to-please family members.
Hubby prefers to eat he traditional Malay cooking rather than western. But he will not complain if I tried something new. Just make sue it's good enough to eat. Sambal goreng, Sambal tumis, fried chicken wings, masak lemak, curry.. as long as it's not to spicy and hot. He'll just dig in. And he hates chicken soup. Hahaha...
As for my beloved son, he does not eat anything that resembles baby food. He used to love mashed potatoes, now no more. He'll just go 'blerrgghh' while sticking out his tongue. However, he will eat plain pasta (no sauce at all), macaroni and cheese, rice with fried chicken, chicken soup and definitely no soy sauce. Somehow my kids does like soy sauce. I want my son to eat healthy. But I want him to be adventurous too.
Hani... she eats everything!! I hope this one doesn't grow up to be picky eater. Hahaha.. Whatever that either Abah, Imran or even me is eating, she'll be right there to join us. She doesn't mind. She definitely has a very different personality compared to Imran. I didn't have to chase her all over the house just to get her to eat a spoonful of rice. With Imran, it took me one hour to get him to finish his portion. Hani will just hang on to me until she feels full and just turn away and leave.
Right now my next assignment is to get myself equipped with cooking utensils. Then, getting authentic traditional recipes to try. I want to be able to cook the best rendang, sambal goreng, lontong, soto, etc.... Hahahaha.... All the best to me!

Family Planning cont....

Where was I? Oh yes, about the contraceptive. It has been one whole year without me on contraceptive. So far so good. For those who use calendar, I really hope you are aware of the percentage of getting pregnant. Because it happened to me. Hehehe... We were supposed to try for 2nd baby after Imran turns 2. Instead we welcomed Hani when Imran turned 2. Doctor was right, we were blessed by Allah s.w.t. 4 weeks earlier than the expected date.
We have another 2 years to go, but somehow I felt like I want another one soon. Hubby's going to have a fit if I tell him this. The one and only reason we had to plan for a larger gap between Hani and baby no. 3 is at doctor's advice. Initially I wanted to have 7 children. I know.. I know.. big number. Hehehe.. Hubby wanted smaller. We decided on 5 kids. But we'll see how. After 2 c-secs, it is obvious I can have no more than 4 surgeries. Unless I'm getting twins, I guess I can settle with 4 kids.
I've read somewhere that it is wrong to plan your family. Taking contraceptive for the wrong reasons. The one thing that scares me is that it is wrong to plan your pregnancy due to financial. I never thought it's wrong. I must've read the wrong article before this. The only reason you can plan pregnancy is for health purpose. Only on life and death decisions. Guess I need read more on this.
I've come across people saying 'Good la.. you got boy and girl already. Enough what.. Why you want some more?' My answer to that.. WHY THE **** NOT?? No I didn't actually say those words. I wish I could. If you chose not to have more children, not to breastfeed your babies, to give your babies to your maid, day-care staffs, and etc.. it none of my concern either. So why should you judge me for wanting more kids? The more the merrier they say. So I chose more.

Family Planning

It took me quite some time to get the nerve to right this post. You see, I've been browsing friendster and found out that some of my friends are preggy with either their 2nd or 3rd child. It gives me this feeling of wanting to be pregnant again. Hehehe... Hubby's going to throw a fit if he knows this. We're definitely not ready for another baby just yet. Medically and mentally. Huhuhu..
After 2 c-secs, at doctor's advice, I need to put a bigger gap between 2nd and 3rd. His word was, 'You've been blessed with a boy and a girl. give yourself a break and make it 2 years before you try for another baby. Especially with your condition.' We decided for 3 years.
At first I went through loads of planning options. Pills, IUD, Implants and the most common for men, condoms. The one caught my eyes was the implants. It sounds just the perfect one for me. No routine, no foreign objects inserted down there, and definitely no jabs. Hahaha.. mother of two scared of needles. Anyway, by the time we decided on it, Hubby had to leave for London. Well, what's the point of having contraceptive if you're not going to test it. Hihihi.. We took a rain check. And up till now I'm still not on any birth control. You see, the best family planning ever is having your kids sleeping with you and refuse to do otherwise.
Hani's awake... BF time!!

It's been a while..

since my last post. Been busy shopping. Haha.. I wish.
The truth is I got tied up with so many tedious tasks and chores that by the time I'm sitting in front of the PC, I have lost all mood and ideas to blog. Instead, I'll log on to facebook and play games.
Last Saturday there was a 'kenduri' at Hubby's aunt. Imran and Hani got few pairs of new clothes from grannies. Another cake for belated august-babies birthday. Wan Long included this time. Nobody ate my Shepard's pie due to bloated tummies.. Next time I'll just stick to dessert. Shepard's pie is too heavy. It is a one dish meal anyway.
Imran has fallen sick tonight. He throw up almost everything he put into his mouth. Including water. His temperature went a up a bit, so we decided to take him to the clinic nearby. Unfortunately for him, doctor decided to give him a jab on the butt. Afraid he might throw up again if given oral medicine. He cried a bit. My eyes was watery listening to him whimpering. Can't belive I have gone soft. Guess when it's your child in pain, you would just turn jell-o. I blame it on the rice from the 'kenduri'. I made fried rice and it made my son fell sick. Even though Hani is fine. Hehehe.. Tomorrow I'm making porridge. Hopefully Imran will be better. And in the mood for eating. He is a picky eater....

MMR shot

Hani was such a good girl today. She didn't even flinch when the doctor gave her the MMR shot. I am so proud of her. Not one cry came out of her pretty puckered lips. One thing funny was she kept staring at the nurse as if saying, 'I'm going to remember your face so that I can get my revenge.' Doctor asked a few questions on Hani's development...

Doc: Has she started running all over the house?
Me: Nope, she just began taking baby steps..
Doc: Okay, how about talking. Has she started talking?
Me: Errm.. Nope.
Doc: *puzzled face* Really? Then how does she asked for milk? Of anything else?
Me: Huh??!!
Doc: Never mind. She's alright for a one-year-old. *then went on about this shot can cause fever and all..*

Geez.. For the first time I felt puzzled when I got out of the doctor's room. I don't remember Imran talking to me when he turned one. He was making unrecognizable sounds which I tried my best at interpreting them. I remember this one thing he kept saying.. 'To-to waa..' Any things that interest him, he'll say that.
As for Hani... we'll see.

Sleeping arrangement

Kids are finally asleep. Imran has arrive to the phase where he no longer wants to have nap time. I read that starting 3, toddler will begin to decrease the sleeping time during the day. That's not good. Not for me. Hehehe...
I'm not worried about his nap time. I am however wondering when I should move Imran to his own room. I was two years old when my mom kick me out of her room. As of now, Imran is sleeping on his own mattress but in the same room with us. Lately he refuse to do so. I will be the last one to go to bed. So I'll end up carrying Imran to his mattress. He'll stay there until morning. As for Hani, she sleeps in between me and Hubby. Easy for me to BF her in the middle of the night.
There's so many things that I need to do with Imran. Potty-train, change sleeping arrangement, teach him alphabets, numbers, spellings, and the list goesn on and on. Somehow I have managed to dodge most of them. I don't want to push him too hard. Then again, once my mom starts to compare on how she took care of her children, it really hits my nerve that Imran is old enough to be trained to be little bit grown up. hahaha...
I'll have to start the potty-train again, soon. As for the sleeping arrangement, I'll figure that out later. I am happy having my family sleeps in the same room. It keeps me at ease knowing everyone within eyesight.

After the birthdays...

I completely forgot about Hani's one-year immunization shot. I was so wrapped up with the birthday presents and cakes and cooking, that I forgot the day has come for the clinic visit. I just hope she'll be fine tomorrow.
Imran is hooked with his birthday presents. A set of tools from my brother's girlfriend, 60-pieces puzzle from my dad and a V.SMILE game console from me and hubby. He has completed the puzzle so many times that I believe he's getting pretty much bored with less than 100-pieces puzzles. I planned to get him a more interesting puzzle pieces but put that on hold when I saw him losing his patience playing Winnie The Pooh game. Haha...
As for Hani, she enjoys the Music Player I bought. However, she's more interested with her brother set of tools. Guess I'll have lot's of help in the handy tools department. Hehe.. And she has started to take her first baby steps!! Trying very hard to keep her balance, she did take about 3 to 4 steps by herself. Now I'm waiting for her teeth to come out.

Sunday, 17 August 2008

Hani turns ONE!!

She still refuse to walk. Just simply too lazy to lift her legs. Hahaha... Oh yes... No tooth coming out. Not even a stub. She jiggles to good music. Especially Mercy by Duffy and Love Like This from Natasha Bedingfield.
She's a very demanding little missy. I can't be more than 1 meter radius away from her, otherwise she'll end up screaming until she gets sick. She refuse to chase you but demands that you pick her up no matter how far or close the distance. Hehehe...
Cheeky little missy, ain't ya?

Saturday, 16 August 2008

Imran turns THREE!!!

He can get dressed on his own. Just need to choose the outfit or he'll end up with anything he could just take from the drawer. He can speak English even though I do not use English with him unless I'm angry. Hahaha.. His vocabulary and pronunciation is definitely getting better since Hubby can understand him. Just need to test with Atuk and Nenek later on.
Still having a hard time to potty-train. Facing difficulty to respond when being called upon. Throw tantrums when demands are not met immediately. What else..? Huhuhuhuh
Wonder what he's going to be like when he turn 4?

What's the right age, then?

Relatives has been asking me when to send Imran to kindy. The truth is I have been terrified of the thoughts of Imran bringing homework at the age of 4. Kindies nowadays are far more advance that the one I used to go to. They have specific subject to teach the kids. Some are very academic. It's not wrong but somehow I feel like it's a burden to push little ones to so much on education that they lost track of being a child. It seems everyone is chasing the best school for their kids. Not that I'm not. It's just to what extend would I sacrifice my child's time and life just so that he gets the best education I can afford?
When I see kids of 4-6 year old carrying heavy set of bags, it really disturb me. I didn't carry a bag nor books to kindergarten. No schedule to memorize. I just simply get myself ready and walk to kindy. Yes! I walk to school at the age of 6. And I only went to kindergarten for one year. Not 2-3 years. I believe I turned out all right. Hehehe... I had a blast being a kid. Climbing up trees, coming home late to my dad waiting with a belt in hand to 'punish' me, laughing at my sister for getting bitten by some caterpillars, a race of the loser end up with 'pacat kat kaki' and loads of games which require brain and muscle. There were some strategic games we played. I don't really know what they call it nowadays. The one with two team of players with three slippers put up together. Nevermind. Even MIL having a hard time listening to my childhood experiences. Huhuhuh....
So now the question is when do I start looking for the right kindergarten for my children? Imran has learnt numbers but still having difficulty recognizing alphabets. Not because he's slow or any of that such. I haven't thought of making a daily activities yet. *grin* He has started to be interested in drawing things. Especially copying the way Steve in Blue's Clues drawing clues in his notebook. He got my temper. Hahaha.. But I'm really, and I mean really, really proud of him being able to sit down and finish his 48 pieces puzzle. Hihihi.... Reminds me to get him new set of puzzles. He's bored with the ones he has right now.

Laundry mishap

I have so many things to blog. I've got many issues to share. But only this incident to tell.
After the long due waiting for my washing machine, finally I got to do my own laundry. Yeah, I know I've shared this before. There's more to it. Please remember I have not been doing laundry for quite some time. Months actually. So this incident is quite a small one and I do believe it has happened to other people. Why am I still making excuses..?? I KEPT FORGETTING TO PUT IN THE DETERGENT WHEN I START THE MACHINE!!!! Hahaha.. There!

Your side.. My side...

Reading this post from CT's blog reminded me of a situation I saw.

I kinda a forgot when this happened and where, but there was this one elderly lady having conversation with a young mom. Her son was playing quietly when suddenly he kind of lost his temper over something I could not comprehend.
Lady A: Whoa dear! Your son here got quite a temper. I'm sure he did not get that from my side of the family.
Lady B: *was trying to keep herself composed and smiled at Lady A while trying to get her son to calm down.*

I was wondering what exactly Lady A meant by that? I don't even know their relationship but somehow it keeps me wondering. How does someone passed on his or her trait to the next generation? We know all about the medical part. Where some diseases are hereditary. But what about personality? Is it really passed down genetically? Somehow I doubt that.
Then again, maybe I should blame myself for my kids temperament. I do have temper. Asked my friends. They're the ones who boldly told me I need to control my temper back in the univ days. With their help and God's blessing, I managed to control it. I had to find a way to lash out my frustration towards everything. Hahaha... I used to have these terrible mood swings that caused my friends to give up a surprise birthday party and Hubby a hard time to end a very unnecessary argument. I can just get angry at anything. But no more.
However I am afraid if I lose my temper with my kids. I even talked to my MIL about it. She just told me to have patience. Easier said than done. But the best thing that I could do is, once the anger comes, I have to quickly retreat myself and breathe.
Nowadays Imran can really get me working out my temper. He would throw himself on the floor if he wants something. He can easily cry and scream if his demand is not fulfilled. Even Hubby has a hard time to control Imran's temper. And I can see himself controlling his urge to smack this poor kid. Hehehe... Hubby NEVER hits his children. Nor has he been beaten nor punished by his parents. But when you're with the kids 24/7 how do you stay sane? A friend suggest to have a ME-time. Unfortunately it's not something that I can do right now. Hani would be crying herself sick even when I go for a toilet break.
Could it seriously be my fault for passing the temper to my kids? Imran does not hit Hani when he's around me. But her does tends to let out his brutal and controlling side when we're at MIL 's house. Nenek and Atuk would never raise voice towards kids. Unlike me, I will call with a very firm voice and give this one very angry stare. Unfortunely it doesn't work around grandparents. Hahaha!!! I need to find better and more effective way to get Imran to listen to me. Especially around grandparents, granduncles and grandaunties.....

At last..

I finally got to do my own laundry at the comfort of being at home. Actually the machine arrives on Monday. There were some problem with the models. It was the one we initially requested. After few calls to the 'tokey' and Electrolux customer service, we agreed to take both. And paid the extra RM40. So the washer is now EWF860 and dryer EDV606E. Apparently they both have the same function as the previous model we chose. Just a different in model code. Except for the washer which has added few functions.

Oh yes.. I've been given this award by CT.

Exhausting weekend

The trip to Melaka was not exactly a blast. The location of hotel was perfect. However the condition was not. It's kinda too good to be true kind of hotel. M****A Hotel was located right in the town. A walking distant to Bandar Hilir. Eye of Melaka, Rivercruise, A Famosa, etc.. But the condition of the room waas so dissapointing. Yes, they provide mini fridge, LIMITED coffee and tea facility (by LIMITED it means 1 3-in1 sachet of instant coffee is provided free, additional is charged), clean room and surprisingly okay bathroom. Anyway, with a whopping price of RM160 a night, I'm expecting a good breakfast buffet the next morning. The buffet was terrible. Nasi lemak, fried mee, baked beans, chicken sausages, fried egg, porridge, and toast. And they serve the kordial juice in a plastic jugs!!!! If I can list the buffet menu in 2 lines, that's just plain horrible. There's no milk, and obviously no cereals. Even the tea was weak. I mean seriously, they were too dang stingy to drop a couple of tea bags in the pot.
Apart from the hotel disaster, we has a blast spending most of our time trying to get walk through the town and survive the traffic. We took the Melaka rivercruise. It was a so-so experience. Imran was excited at first, then he got bored. Can't wait to jump out of the boat. and Hani was jelous of him because he get to sits besides me. Haha.. seriously, she is jelous every single time I gave Imran a little bit more attention tha required. Then we had our late lunch at a seafood restaurant and had the most spicy fried kuey-tiaw I have ever eaten since I got married. I'm a chili eater but nowadays I've mellowed down on the hot and spicy food. I'm not going back to that place.
After walking for another couple of hours, we decided to find Mahkota Parade. Hubby was convinced we were getting closer to it. I was not. But my sense of direction is not to be trusted at any time or place. So we walked back to the hotel, thinking of driving, when Hubby went and asked to reception guys about the direction. And guess what, we were seriuosly close that it was such a waste of walking back to hotel itself. And after quite a delibetaion, we decided to go for it. We walked to Mahkota Parade. At that moment I knew I'm going to have blisters on my toes. I was walking in 2-inch sandals for hours.
Stayed at the mall until closing time in Anakku boutique to get a new stoller. Imran's buggy finally has given up hope of surviving another brutal adventure. I wanted another buggy, but Hubby insisted on a stroller. It's easier for me to travel with the kids using a buggy. It's lighter and easier to fold. A stroller is heavy and definitely bulky even when it's folded. Since Hubby's paying for it, I'll just let him choose which one he prefers. I just hope the buggy can still be fixed. I need to use that when I go to the park.
All these happens on Saturday. I have excluded the wedding part though. Not that interesting anyway. Heheh...
On Sunday, we went to Nilai!!!! Hahah.. It's the parents time. By this time I was already wearing my RM3.90 thongs bought in Tesco. Did not do any help at all. Spent quite a lot there. After exploring all the shops, we ended up paying for 3 different size rugs and 2 bamboo mats. Wanted to get a console table but none was good enough. Or contemporary enough. Hehehe..
I was actually hoping to get a large japanese-like table for the kids. Obviously I'm looking at the wrong place. I just hope I'll find it soon. And small kabinets for the play area. Guess we're off for another IKEA trip.

These few days...

Has put me in a very unhappy mood. I'm afraid I'm not busy doing laundry. Because I'm still waiting for my machines to arrive!!! I am so dang frustrated right now. We went to the shop because there's a problem getting the model we have originally booked. It's being replaced by a Thailand version of EWF861. Model code EWF860 with additional functions. And of course additional price. For addition of 2 functions, its RM40 more to pay. I thought since Hubby has agreed to take it, we'll be getting them soon. Hubby gave to 'Tokey' a call and told him to send on Monday cause we'll be in Melaka for the weekend.
Due to my frustration, on thursday I took Imran and Hani for a shopping spree to Jusco Bukit Tinggi. We walked to the mall. Hahaha... Arrived there around 2 pm. Stayed until 9 pm. Can you imagine seeing a mother of two hanging around in the shopping mall? There was this one moment where a very nice lady told me there is a baby room where I can rest. You see, I was carrying sleeping Hani while pushing the buggy with sleeping Imran. I wanted to have a rest but the room is not exactly comfortable for Hani to lie down. She woke up the moment I rest her on the sofa. I can't sleep during the day or I'll end up with terrible headache. Hubby joined us after work and we went back aafter dinner at Kenny Rogers. I spent around RM250 for Imran's new shirt, Hani's new jeans, babies and toddlers socks and new par of sandals for me. Oh yes, bedsheet sets for wedding present. And I end up with sore hands due to extensive buggy-pushing, sore arms for carrying Hani and my whole body was aching due to all the shopping exercises.
Yesterday (Friday), Hubby sent his Laurel to the workshop in Rawang. So I had to drive Hilux to fetch him at work. He called and told me we're going to KLCC after work to see the exhibition held there. Unfortunately it ended at 8 pm. KLCC cancelled. Instead we went to Midvalley. A trip to Toys'R'Us has made us RM400 poorer. Hubby had to make sure Imran did not catch me paying for the game V.SMILE console. Yeay!! Now what do I get for Hani??
We're going to Melaka for Hubby's colleague's wedding. Hopefully we can get a hotel with swimming pool.

Monday, 4 August 2008

Finally

I'll be getting my washer and dryer in 2 days!!!
Hubby's paying the balance today. By thursday, Insya Allah, I'll be able to do my clear my laundry. Can't wait...
We got a very good price with a small electrical shop here in Bkt Tinggi, Klang. I'm not sure what's the name though. Electrolux washer EFW861 for RM1650 and dryer EDE606A for RM1590. Plus stacking kit for RM150. All in all, this was the best Hubby could get. Especially since he has been buying small appliance with the guy. Didn't actually expect that he has Electrolux machine in his shop. It is a very small electrical shop. No fancy decor. I dont see any air conditioning system either. Hehe.. So there, anyone interested to get electrical appliances are most welcome to Klang. Transportation for big appliances is provided with RM100 charge. Hubby's idea of a little sarcasm.

Look Ibu! No teeth...

Hani is turning one in 2 weeks. She's a little slow in certain area compared to her not-that-kinda-hyper brother. Obsessed with the mission of following her brother everywhere. And I mean everywhere, toilet break included. She definitely does not like the being left out on anything.
Hani has a few friends her age. But, she's way behind the others in some department. Especially the teeth part. You see, Imran got his first tooth when he's around 10 months old. Hani is already close to 12 months and yet, not a single tooth is there. I though she was having high fever due to the gum's swelling. Boy was I wrong. She can climb stairs, but still refuse to walk. 'Tatih' kata org Melayu. I'm not worried though... she can outrun her brother by simply crawling between his legs. Hahaha.. Oh you two really drives me nuts!
Anyway, she's also, just like Imran, so into computers and gadgets. Oh yes... tools! Having Handy Hubby has given these two very interesting choice of toys to play with. They refuse the plastics. Imran can still compromise. He has learn to listen and follow authority. Hani however.. well, just loves being herself. Demanding princess.

Puzzles Obsession

Ever since we've moved the computer upstairs, I've been trying to get Imran involved with other activities. Current obsession, puzzles. Jigsaw puzzle. Somehow he can sit still doing puzzles. Hubby bought Disney-Pixar Cars 48x3 puzzle from London for him. He also got another 2 sets of 48 pieces puzzle of Looney Toons and Winnie the Pooh. Not forgetting the Noddy jigsaw puzzle book. He can do the puzlles quite well without any help. I'm still amazed of his total attention he puts into finishing the puzzle. You see, this is a boy that could never sit still.(even in his sleep he'll kept tossing). He's always and I really mean always up to something. So to see him being able to sit still and kept his lips close for a moment was bliss. Families have been giving me comments regarding Imran's lack of attention span. They kept saying he's hyper-active. I don't believe my son is hyper-active. Then again, which mom would admit to that. Unless of course the diagnose comes from very legit source. Hehehe... But seriously, do you think a hyperactive child could sit still for more than half an hour to do puzzles?? Don't think so. He's just found something he loves to do. He can get bored very easy. Glad I have puzzles to keep him company. Dealing with the aftermath mess is just another.. well.. at least my son is happy. Can't say the same for Hani though. Imran now knows not to do puzzles when Hani's around. Hahaha...

Washer dilemma

Unfortunately after looking around for best price, it was not possible to get a cheap price for the washer. It's a wee bit pricey around RM2300 for a 7kg washer. Come to think of it, I don't really need 7 kg washer. However the spin speed was a very good factor. So I better get a good deal without getting into financial trouble. There's another option. Lower spin speed, no time display, etc.. Since the dryer is for 6kg, maybe I should just get the 6kg washer. Either way I still end up doing laundry every 2 days. Or maybe everyday. Haha.. I do have lots of laundry to do.
My family can pile up a 10kg to 15 kg laundry within 3 days. Do the maths right and I just got a new best friend. Used to be a laundry lady by profession, now a responsibility. I do not want to end up doing 4 cycles of laundry in a day. Whites... Dark colors... Delicates... What have got myself into?
